Regional log routing
By default, projects ingest into the region closest to where they were created. You can pin a project to a specific region for compliance or latency reasons.
Why region matters
Data written to a region stays in that region for both storage and query. Cross-region queries are not supported, which keeps residency guarantees simple to reason about.
Configure a region
Set this in publicsurface.yaml before sending your first event. The region cannot be changed after data has been written.
Changing a project’s region requires provisioning a new project and replaying or re-sending historical data.
